NES Initiatives

Being a developing country, Nepal has been facing lots of issues and unemployment is one of the major issues resulting in the growing trend of youth migrating to the developed nations in search of some good opportunities. Hence, with the goal of creating the new opportunities, economic support for the youth and promoting the concept of Entrepreneurship, Nepal Startup Investment Company has been initiated by the youth and will be working with the youth and for the youth.

Nepal Startup Investment Company has been initiated with the aim of creating investment opportunities for the startups that will be groomed by Nepal Entrepreneurs Society. Nepal Startup Investment Company will be assisting the startup financially and will help the startups connect with the investors. The company will conduct various meets and provide an opportunity for the investors to find the best startups they are looking to invest as well as provide an opportunity for the startups to find the investment that they require to grow their startup. The investment company will accelerate and incubate and groom the startups along with investing and acquiring them. This company will help in solving various economic issues that the youth have been facing in the sector of entrepreneurship and will help in creating developing an entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nepal.

Nepal Entrepreneurs Society has been conducting various Bootcamp and Hackathon in collaboration with Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp and Global Entrepreneurs Forum. The Bootcamp and Hackathon are an intensive educational as well as the learning opportunity where entrepreneurs will be exposed to various aspects of startups which include sessions of ideation, fundraising, scaling up the startup to generating the revenue.

In these Bootcamp and Hackathon, the Entrepreneurs are taught about the details of the startups. These Bootcamp and Hackathon are designed in such a way that novice, as well as an entrepreneur who is looking to scale up their startups, can be benefitted. As Nepal Entrepreneurs Society aims to groom the startup, these Bootcamp and Hackathon will play a major role.

Nepal Startup Meet is the gathering of the Startups, business houses, Policy makers, Diplomatic Agencies along with NGO’s and INGO’s under a common umbrella.

Nepal Entrepreneurs Society encourages job creators not job seekers. Hence, to support and encourage the young Nepalese job creators (entrepreneurs), NES has initiated Nepal Startup Meet.

Nepal Startup Meet aims to provide a platform for the young entrepreneurs to share about their startups and the problem they are facing in the sector of startup. Nepal Startup meet will be a step towards reducing the gap between the startups and the business hubs, policy makers, Diplomatic agencies etc. It is a part of 10000 startup project initiate by the Nepal Entrepreneurs Society which aims to groom the young minds working in the sector of Entrepreneurship.

In Nepal Startup meet, an entrepreneur who has just initiated a startup can share his startup as well as get a chance to find a potential investors as well as funding agencies.

Nepal Young Entrepreneurs Forum is a yearly entrepreneurs gathering that will be conducted for Nepalese Entrepreneurs only. The forum will be a platform for the entrepreneurs to learn from the successful entrepreneurs of Nepal. NES believes that mentorship is very important for the entrepreneurs to groom and learn, hence, Nepal Young Entrepreneurs Forum will be providing the mentorship for the young entrepreneurs. In the annual event, Nepal Young Entrepreneurs Forum will gather young entrepreneurs, successful business personals, policy makers and provide a common learning, networking and experience sharing platform.

Nepal Young Entrepreneurs Forum will be 4 days event where the youth will be engaged in multiple lectures, idea pitching, mentorship, teamwork, networking sessions, fun sessions, presentation and competitions guided by a curriculum. The event will invite several renowned faces of Nepal who will help the young entrepreneurs learn about grooming the startups with the help of real life lessons and experiences.

World Young Entrepreneurs Forum is another yearly event which aims to gather entrepreneurs from all around the globe. Only selected Entrepreneurs from all around the globe will be invited in this forum. World Young Entrepreneurs Forum will provide a platform for the young entrepreneurs to learn from the successful entrepreneurs as well as business personals and connect with other fellow entrepreneurs.

The World Young Entrepreneurs Forum will invite several young entrepreneurs from all around the globe. The forum will be of 4 days comprising of lectures, idea pitching, mentorship, teamwork, networking sessions, fun sessions, cultural exchanges, presentation and competitions guided by a curriculum. The main aim of the forum will be to help participants know about the entrepreneurial ecosystem and development of other countries along with the providing the participants of different background, nationalities to work together.

The 10000 Startups is a special project of Nepal Entrepreneurs Society which aims to groom 10000 Startups in coming 10 years. This project has been initiated with the aim of creating a largest entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nepal. The startups that will be a part of Nepal Startup Meet will be mentored and groomed by Nepal Entrepreneurs Society with the help of Nepal Investment Company.

NES believes that new ideas can be generated everywhere and every new idea should get a platform to be showcased. Hence, the project of 10000 startup will find startups from every villages of Nepal and provide them a mentorship and grooming which they have been seeking for. The selected startups will be trained, mentored, connected with investment companies along with helping them to participate in various Bootcamps, Hackathon which will help them in scaling up their startup.

Nepal Entrepreneurs Society will help the startups grow and compete in the local market. Along with this the NES will help the startups to grow in franchise model globally.

A developing country like Nepal has lots of problems as well as opportunities and only an entrepreneurs can point out those problems and find solution which would be an opportunity to help nation as well as initiate a startup as the solution to the issue. NES believes that it is always better to start early, hence Entrepreneurs-cells will be that early stage grooming of the young minds.

The Entrepreneurs-cell (E-cell) is the student group from university interested in working in the startups from early age. NES aims to grow the culture of entrepreneurship from the early age and groom the young minds as entrepreneurs. The E-cells will be run by the students themselves under the guidance of the College/ University Management team. NES will be coordinating with the College/ University Management team and will conduct various events to give the members of E-cells more ideas about the startups.

NES will be conducting various Bootcamp, Hackathon, training sessions, meetups to help they young mind know about the basic details of startup which includes how to generate ideas (ideation), business model, fundraising, revenue model and such similar details. Later there will be idea pitching competitions and the winners of these competitions will be groomed by NES as a part of 10000 startups.

NES will be conducting meet-up and gathering on last Friday every month. These gathering will be conducted on colleges and hotels where all the members of Nepal Entrepreneurs Society will be invited. The meet-up will invite lots of renowned people as the guest/ speaker who will be sharing and discussing about the entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ecosystem of Nepal. The event will be mainly designed for the young entrepreneurs where they can learn from the success as well as failure story of the invited guests. The Meetup will have discussions on various aspects of Entrepreneurship in Nepal, the pros, cons and possibilities along with the major discussion about creating the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nepal. The meetup will be of one hour and will have plenary and interactive session.
